In pro football, rivals compete for glory. But when two of the game’s biggest rivals competed in the Wahl Head-to-Head Challenge it was for something bigger—good. Wahl challenged New York's Mark Herzlich and Washington's Pierre Garcon in a fundraising competition to raise funds to support the St. Baldrick’s Foundation for childhood cancer research. Watch the shave-down to see who ends up bald.
Each year, Wahl’s 30-foot mobile barbershop travels the country giving free trims and grooming guidance to the growing number of guys sporting facial hair. The mobile tour has another mission—to give back. For every trim performed, Wahl donates $1 to ZERO, a non-profit leading the fight against prostate cancer.
Wahl and Kappa Sigma Fraternity challenged college students to “GET BUZZED” for good. Head-shaving events were held in 2014 and 2015 in Washington D.C and New York City, where students, alumni and area families cut loose to support St. Baldrick’s Foundation and their fight against childhood cancer.
Players and coaches from Minor League Baseball’s Clinton LumberKings shaved their heads to raise funds before a big game. Fans even joined in on the action. In the end, the team raised thousands of dollars for the cause.
Cuts for a Cause depends on individuals and organizations such as St. Baldrick’s Foundation and Zero. We provide the tools and resources needed to support a variety of local and national causes. Partnerships range from product and monetary donations to sponsorships and co-produced events.
